Teen snowboarder phenom thrilled to be paired with idol: Canada’s Mark McMorris

Eli Bouchard is a 14 year old  snowboarder who will be competing this year in the Snowboarding World Cup. The FIS (snowboarding league)  usually doesn’t allow anyone younger than 15 to enter but Eli is an exception he is amazing, both him and his idol Mark McMorris will “be in the spotlight”. Bouchard will be doing the 15-storey ramp which is impressive. Mark McMorris says that “it's pretty special” competing with your idol and how talented these young snowboarders are. The article goes on saying how Eli got a snowboard when he was two years old and by the time he was eight became a youtube sensation. He was the “youngest rider to land a double back flip” Bouchard making his first debut said “(the jump) is pretty big,so if I can land my tricks,  I'm going to be stoked” Eli cant believe that he gets to be a team mate with Mark McMorris. The ramp that they will be going down is pretty steep. Mark McMorris said that they have to watch out for the Japanese snowboards because their “work ethic” is incredible.

In my opinion snowboarding is so cool and I love it. I don't know much about it but from what I read, I understand the tricks that they’ll be doing are very difficult but impressive. I’m happy that the FIS World-Cup will allowed Eli to be part of the competition because “two days after the event he will be turning 15”. You hear all these stories about meeting your idols and it turns out bad so I'm so glad that Eli had a good interaction with his idol Mark McMorris. From the little snowboarding I have done in the past it is hard to do; Eli was amazing at eight years old. I can't believe that, it's truly incredible. I wish him luck in the future. Personally I think snowboarding is such a cool sport and I wish I got into it more. It's so much fun. Overall I wish them best of luck and maybe I'll go snowboarding this season.
