Elon Musk is stepping down from being the CEO of Twitter. He took a poll on twitter asking his twitter fans if he should, the results were “ 57.5% yes and 42.5% no”. Musk will still be a part of twitter; in the article he said “just run the software & servers teams” after a replacement CEO is named.” After taking this poll he is going to redo it so the people who pay “$8 a month subscription service’’ will be allowed and only vote. The article went on saying “There was no immediate indication Tuesday that he would end his ownership of the social media platform.” Twitter has been under controversy since Elon USD$44 million closed with the company. Later in the article Musk says “no one wants the job who can actually keep Twitter alive.” which is probably true it seems difficult and I wouldn't want to do that.
Personally Elon Musk has a lot of money and stepping down won't probably be an issue for him financially. He talks about the next CEO being foolish to step into that position, even though they haven't found anyone yet. If I were to be the CEO of twitter at first I would think it would be fun but probably soon after that I would realize that it's difficult and see why Musk wanted to leave. I also found it funny that he took a poll on twitter to see if he should resign and over half said yes. I wonder if they are tired of him or if they want someone better. I guess the best way to find out is to do it on the app.
