Icy roads create treacherous North Shore conditions ahead of another snowstorm

It's been cold,icy, and snowy outside these past few days. We have had a lot of snow. Sometimes that snow turns into ice making road conditions very dangerous. It has led to cars being littered all throughout the roads, in the articles it said “weekend snowstorm that left cars littered up the side of the “Cut” Sunday and
spinning out on icy stretches of road.” It is crazy what snow can do. Everyone should put their winter tires on and if they cannot afford to do not drive, be safe! There is more snowfall to come up to 10-20 cm and temperatures going down to -11 degrees at night making the roads all icy. Due to the fact that roads are unsafe to drive on. There was a big spin out on the road at 7:45am “Weather chaser Brad Atchison '' showed twitter what was happening. Mathew Bond who is a councilman of the District of North Vancouver said he could see the traffic from his house. Also during this time RCMP were called out to help out with all the stuck cars and a (RCMP member) got hit in their vehicle, not badly. In the article it said “ One RCMP officer who was attending to a spun-out vehicle had her own police vehicle hit by a driver who lost control on the ice” and “it's going to be a slushy Christmas” no snowball fights. Be safe out there and think before you drive.
I don't drive. I haven't gotten my license yet, but I plan to next year. Even if I could drive right now I wouldn't because it seems scary and I don't want to die. That may be a little too extreme but oh well. I am lucky enough that my family does have winter tires on. Even then it's still slippery to drive. I hope that there are people going to continue to salt the roads since we are due to more snowfall. Don't get me wrong though I love snow but Christmas is coming and we got to see family. Overall after reading this article I am way more aware of how road conditions can affect people's safety and driving skills and I hope the best for everyone and you will not see me driving this winter even if I could.
