Vancouver scholarship to give some Metro Vancouver students brand new sewing machines

Vancouver is giving a brand new sewing machine for metro vancouver students. This is a scholarship you can enter or someone can enter for you to attempt to win this prize. The people who run this “Our Social Fabric” wanted to help out young students who want to become fashion designers, since sewing machines are super expensive. They wanted to help out the people and offer a new sewing machine “scholarship program this month that aims to remove the cost barrier.”  This program is called “Sew Fun(d)”; and the sewing machine that they are giving away is a high tech, best type for beginners to learn on but overall an excellent sewing machine. It's good for beginners because you can control the speed you go by with a dial and it's digital, easy to read. For those who want to apply you must be a student in the mainland and three will be selected. They'll find out on Christmas if they won or not; good luck! 

 As someone who has applied to this scholarship I am so thankful for the opportunity. I've been in need of a new sewing machine, especially this type; as it is the one I have learned on. I need this because this fall I want to attend fashion design school and I need to sew some new pieces. Currently I dont have the tools to do so; usually I would attend a sewing camp but where I go is already booked full and I need to apply soon. These sewing machines are almost a thousand dollars and I don't have the money for that so winning this would be so amazing. The application process was easy to do. You needed to tell them why you think you should get it, your favourite things to make, and a reference letter and show some proof which I already had. I think it's so cool that there is a place out there willing to give a sewing machine to people who need it.
